About
The studio
JG Visual Arts is the studio of Jesse Gill — artist, builder, and collector of strange images. The work here is original digital illustration with a consistent gravity to it: cosmic vistas, surreal botany, impossible architecture, stained-glass light in places light shouldn't reach. If it looks like a scene from a dream you almost remember, it's doing its job.
How the work is made
This is an AI-augmented studio, and we say that plainly. Each piece begins as a written idea — a scene, a palette, a mood — developed through Midjourney and refined across many generations until the image matches the intent. Then comes the part machines don't do: curation. The overwhelming majority of generated images are discarded. What survives is hand-selected, upscaled to true print resolution, and proofed so the detail that reads on a screen still reads on a 24-inch poster.
The tools are new. The judgment is human. Every image in this store is here because a person looked at thousands and chose this one.
What makes it distinct
Density and depth. These aren't flat graphics — they're illustrations built to reward a second look: layered texture, saturated-but-controlled color, small details that only show up once the print is on your wall. The recurring threads are the cosmic and the surreal, rendered with the patience of stained glass.
Where it goes from here
The catalog grows steadily — prints and posters first, with apparel and sticker runs of the most-loved pieces. New work appears as it earns its place, not on a content calendar.
